Practical, home-based care for elders who have nowhere else to turn

Every program below responds directly to a need we've documented on the ground — through home visits, medical outreach, and the voices of the elders themselves.

Home-Care & Basic Support

Routine home visits that bring food, shelter materials, bedding, and other essentials directly to elders who have no one else to turn to.

Medical Checkups & Treatment

We facilitate and support routine medical checkups and treatment, connecting elders to healthcare they would otherwise go without.

Mobility Support

Wheelchairs, crutches, and walking aids for elders living with disability, injury, or the frailty of old age — restoring safe, independent movement.

Rescue & Shelter

We rescue and shelter abandoned and abused aged persons, giving them safety and a home-like environment when family and community fail them.

Income-Generating Activities

We support elderly-friendly livelihood activities like beadwork, helping elders maintain dignity and a measure of independence.

Advocacy & Protection

We champion the rights of the elderly in nomadic pastoral communities and defend them against neglect, abuse, and societal exclusion.

Community & Family Engagement

We work with families, local leaders, and the wider community to rebuild networks of care around isolated elders.

Old-Age Centre & Care Home

We are working toward establishing a permanent old-age centre and care home to give the most vulnerable elders a lasting place of safety.

How It Works

It starts with a home visit

Our team travels village by village to find elders who have been left behind — many with no family nearby, no reliable income, and no way to reach a hospital. Each visit is documented: their health, their living conditions, and what they need most urgently.

From there, we return with food, bedding, mobility aids, or medical support — and we keep coming back. Care at NCOA is not a single visit; it's an ongoing relationship.
